Portland Finally Has an On-Water Boat Show Worth Showing Up For

There's something about a boat show that actually happens on the water that changes everything. No convention center floors, no fluorescent lighting, no boats sitting on trailers. Just open decks, the Columbia River breeze, and boats floating in the slips exactly the way they're meant to be seen.

That's what we've been building toward, and this Memorial Day weekend, it's happening. Sundance Yacht Sales & Marinas is proud to announce the Columbia River Boat Show — May 28–31, 2026 at Sundance Marina on Hayden Island. Free admission, free parking, and four full days on the water.

What to Expect

This is a real boat show — boats in the slips, decks open, our team on hand to walk you through every model. No pressure, no tickets, just a long weekend to step aboard some of the best vessels available in the Pacific Northwest and see what life on the water actually looks like.

We'll have a curated lineup of new boats on display across multiple categories — sporty day cruisers, capable cabin cruisers, full motor yachts — from brands we stand behind: Jeanneau, Cutwater, Prestige, Four Winns, and Marquis. Whether you're a first-time buyer or you've owned boats your whole life, there's something worth stepping aboard.

Demo Days — Get Out on the Columbia

Photos don't tell the whole story. We're offering on-water demo slots each morning so you can actually feel how these boats handle on the Columbia River. Demos run daily from 10:00 AM – 2:30 PM and slots are limited — this is the part of the show you'll want to plan ahead for.

The show itself is open to everyone all weekend long. But if you want a demo slot, claim it in advance.

Golden Hour on the Docks — Saturday, May 30

Stick around after show hours on Saturday for the best part of the weekend. From 6:00 – 8:00 PM, we're hosting Golden Hour on the Docks — live music by The Tropics Duo performing dockside, wine, and that late-May Columbia River light doing what it does. No separate ticket, no cover. Just show up.

Food on the Docks

We've got you covered on all four days with two great food trucks on site:

  • Carlos Tacos — a local favorite, right on the docks
  • Swag'r Buck BBQ — Texas-style BBQ, the real deal

There's no substitute for stepping aboard. Photos don't capture the scale of a flybridge deck, or the way a salon opens up to the water, or what it actually feels like to stand at the helm with the Columbia behind you. Our show is a low-key, high-quality way to explore your options — whether you're ready to buy this weekend or just starting to think about it.

Our team will be on the docks all four days to answer questions, talk specs, and help you figure out which model makes sense for your life on the water.
