The Volvo Penta Aquamatic Sterndrive is the complete package - each component is designed to operate perfectly with each other.
In the early 1950's marine engineer Jim Wynne decided he wanted to try something new. He began work on an alternative propulsion system that combined the advantages of inboard with the maneuverability of outboard. His first prototype was finished in 1958, and since then the success of his endeavor has continued to flourish.
